Farcaster founder shares nine insights on consumer encryption product entry experience

[Coin World] Decentralized social protocol Farcaster co-founder Dan Romero published nine thoughts on consumer encryption product onboarding experience. He pointed out that "most consumers prefer using mobile devices over desktop computers, favor native apps over PWAs (Progressive Web Apps), and the majority do not have a prepared digital Wallet. In addition, he mentioned that deep linking between apps on mobile devices is unreliable, especially on iOS, and adding options during onboarding can drop user conversion rates. Romero believes that global Web2 applications typically register users through phone numbers or email addresses and emphasizes that seamless on-chain interactions are crucial for user experience. He also noted that consumers care more about the fun, interesting nature of the app or whether it can solve immediate problems rather than technical standards, and they are willing to set up new Wallet/identification for this purpose. Finally, he suggested that to serve advanced users who wish to use their own Wallet, applications should be built on open protocols/data/APIs so that others can create clients for these users.
