A July 2025 Gallup survey shows that only 14% of American adults own cryptocurrency, while 60% are not interested, and most believe it is a high-risk asset. The group that holds it mainly consists of men aged 18–49, high-income earners, and those with a college degree.

Although awareness of cryptocurrency has increased, only 4% of Americans view it as the best long-term investment channel. Bitcoin and Ethereum still dominate, but most investors still prefer stocks and real estate.

Skepticism is more pronounced among older and lower-income groups. Notably, only 35% of respondents said they understand how cryptocurrency works, indicating that this market remains niche in America.
