The X account of MicroStrategy, a technology company known for its closeness to the crypto industry, was hacked. Crypto users were targeted in a phishing scam carried out by the famous hacking group PinkDrainer.
Hackers shared a link stating that the MSTR token airdrop will be made from the MicroStrategy account they captured. A whale who clicked on this link with confidence lost almost half a million dollars of assets in his wallet.
MicroStrategy's X account, which has 190,000 Bitcoin (BTC) among its assets, was hacked. Hackers shared a fake airdrop link from the MicroStrategy account they took over. With the phishing attack, phishing scammers waited for crypto users to click on the link and connect the wallet.
