Recently, the press conference of "AIGC Development Research Report Version 1.0" sponsored by Metaverse Culture Lab, School of Journalism and Communication, Tsinghua University was held in Beijing. With the cooperation of Professor Shen Yang, director of Metaverse Culture Laboratory, School of Journalism and Communication, Tsinghua University, the highly humanoid robot "Qingxin" independently developed by the team, the team's research group presented the content of the report. Shen Yang made an in-depth interpretation of the writing ideas and contents of the report.
Technology is the cornerstone of the AIGC field, and its development and innovation are of vital importance to the entire industry. The "Report" summarizes the software characteristics of the big language model and the Internet model, puts forward the concept of "emphasizing the Internet", and constructs a "technical rapid change index" to evaluate the ability of the big language model to have a disruptive impact on society. On this basis, the Report innovatively deduces and predicts the future technical development of GPT5-GPT8 and other subsequent versions. These predictions will help researchers gain an in-depth understanding of the technological development trends in the field of AIGC and provide theoretical guidance for the further development of related technologies.
Industry is the application scenario of AIGC, and evaluation is the key link to measure the application effect of AIGC. The advancement and innovation of AIGC technology has brought profound changes to all walks of life and promoted the development of the industry. The industry chapter innovatively puts forward the five-layer development theory of AIGC, from infrastructure to value innovation, and gradually builds the level of development needs, so as to guide enterprises and organizations to better understand the application of AIGC in the industry. It is worth noting that in the field of education, the "Report" puts forward the "four-ability education concept", which provides guidance for the society on how to use AI to assist teaching and education.

In the risk section, the "Report" points out potential problems and challenges, such as AI hegemony, digital bias and discrimination, AI weapons and military applications, and AI infringement. Aiming at the copyright risk in AI infringement, the "Report" introduces the concept of "minimum copyright identification unit" to judge whether the works generated by AI infringe the copyright of others. At the philosophical and future level, the "Report" has reflected and thought deeply about AI. Only through continuous thinking and exploration can we better deal with the development and application of artificial intelligence technology and realize the cooperation and symbiosis between artificial intelligence and human beings.
Professor Shen Yang said that the "Report" provides theoretical guidance and practical suggestions for all sectors of society to deal with challenges in the field of AI, and will help us jointly explore the harmonious way for the future development of artificial intelligence and human beings.
