Developers have determined the timeline for the Fusaka hard fork in the Ethereum network

The next major update of Fusaka will be deployed on the Ethereum network in early November. The test network for developers will be available on July 23, reported the ethPandaOps team.

During the hard fork, the developers will implement 11 proposals for improving Ethereum (EIP). Among the key ones:

• EIP-7825 — will increase the network's resilience to attacks and improve scalability;
• increase the gas limit to 150 million to process more transactions;
• rejection of EIP-7907, which proposed to double the contract code size limit.

The main goal of Fusaka is to enhance the scalability and resilience of the network, as well as simplify the creation of decentralized applications. Ethereum developers will launch public testnets in September and October.

The protocol support team intends to deploy the update before the Devconnect conference, which will take place from November 17 to 22 in Buenos Aires.

On August 1, the AllCoreDevs meeting will also approve the features of the next hard fork Glamsterdam. This aligns with the new strategy of Ethereum — to release updates every six months.

Let us remind you that the last upgrade of Pectra took place in May. The developers implemented improvements in the context of account abstraction and increased the staking limit for validators. The update also improved the performance of L2 solutions, reducing fees.

Earlier, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin supported increasing the gas limit per block in the Ethereum network.
