The Salvadoran government confirmed to the IMF that it has stopped purchasing Bitcoin, which differs from the president's statement.

According to reports from [比推], the Minister of Finance of El Salvador and the President of the Central Bank have confirmed to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) that since the signing of the financing agreement in February 2025, the government has not purchased any more Bitcoin, and the number of existing Bitcoins remains unchanged. The relevant Wallet addresses have been provided to the IMF for monitoring.

This statement contradicts President Booker's public declaration of "buying 1 Bitcoin daily." The IMF states that the increase in Bitcoin balances only reflects internal consolidation and does not violate the financing agreement.
