Trump holds $51 million in encryption assets, with government officials involved in Virtual Money by 20%.
[Chain News] PANews reported on July 18 that U.S. President Trump holds a total of $51 million in virtual money assets, and among senior officials in the Trump administration, about 1 in 5 holds virtual money. An investigation into the asset disclosure forms of approximately 300 senior officials in the Trump administration found that about 70 hold virtual money or have invested in virtual money and blockchain-related companies. As of the 3rd as a benchmark, requests for public financial information were made to all government nominees approved by Senate personnel, with a response rate of 95%. From the officials' financial information, blockchain or crypto assets, related wallets or companies were filtered out, and officials typically only disclosed the "range" of assets held rather than the exact amounts, so estimates were made based on the lowest amounts within the range.
According to the investigation, the total Virtual Money assets declared by senior officials in the Trump administration reached at least $193 million. The highest amount is held by Ken Howery, the U.S. Ambassador to Denmark (a co-founder of a payment platform), who holds up to $120 million in virtual assets. Trump follows in second place, while the third place holder's amount has significantly shrunk to the million dollar level. According to statistics, Vice President J.D. Vance has virtual assets worth $250,000.
