Vitalik proposed EIP-7983: the Gas limit for a single transaction on Ethereum may be set to 16.77 million.

On July 6, the co-founder of Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin, and Ethereum researcher Toni Wahrstätter jointly wrote the proposal EIP-7983, which aims to set the Gas limit for a single Ethereum transaction at 16.77 million.

This proposal aims to reduce the risk of Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, optimize the performance of the Zero-Knowledge Virtual Machine (zkVM), and balance the overall Gas usage efficiency.
