Ondo Finance-Pantera Capital Prepares US$250 Million for RWA Tokenization
Ondo Finance in collaboration with Pantera Capital has launched an investment fund worth US$250 million to drive the development of real-world assets (RWA) based on blockchain.
This strategic step reflects a new direction in the decentralized finance sector (DeFi), as institutional interest grows in combining traditional financial instruments with tokenization technology.
According to Ondo's Chief Strategy Officer Ian De Bode, there is currently a "fast race" among financial platforms to expand token-based stock and ETF services.
With the presence of the Ondo Catalyst Fund, the fund will focus on equity participation and token acquisition from projects that integrate conventional finance with blockchain technology.
The increasingly open regulatory support from the United States government has also been a major driver of interest in tokenized assets.
According to the latest report, the tokenized RWA market has surged by about 380% since 2022 and is now valued at US$24 billion, not including the stablecoin market, which has also reached US$250 billion.
