Recently, the country that announced its partnership with Solana (SOL) has now made a move with Bitcoin (BTC)! The Central Bank President announced!
President Donald Trump set an example for the entire world with the national strategic Bitcoin (BTC) reserve he officially initiated after taking office in January.
At this point, many countries and large companies are saying that the U.S. has inspired them as they prepare for crypto reserves, while the latest move came from Kazakhstan.
According to news from the local media in Kazakhstan, Timur Suleimenov, the Chairman of the Kazakhstan National Bank, stated that a Bitcoin and cryptocurrency reserve will be established that can be managed by the country's National Bank subsidiary.
It was stated that the reserve will be financed by confiscated crypto assets and cryptos issued with government participation.
The initiative of the National Bank of Kazakhstan coincides with the announcement of the pilot project called "CryptoCity" made by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the end of last month. The project aims to enable cryptocurrency payments and create a regulatory sandbox to support innovation in digital assets.
Like Kazakhstan, Pakistan announced that it would establish a strategic Bitcoin reserve in late May of this year. Pakistan's prime minister's crypto advisor, Bilal Bin Saqib, stated that the decision on Bitcoin was inspired by the United States' movement to create its own Bitcoin reserve.
With this decision, Pakistan has made a significant shift from its previous stance that the Pakistan government would never legalize Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
Kazakhstan recently announced that it signed an important agreement with the Solana (SOL) Foundation. Accordingly, the Solana Foundation stated that it is preparing to establish the first Blockchain Economic Zone in Central Asia in partnership with Kazakhstan. This initiative aims to transform Kazakhstan into a regional blockchain hub, promote Web3 technologies, and attract global talent.
