Our 3YO gelding LOCHLAN HANOVER performed very well in his first ever race at Yonkers tonight.

From PP #4, Lochlan broke with vigor, pulling alongside # 3 BEANZY FRESH into the first bend as #6 HAZARDOUS joined the fight for the lead, 3 wide.

Along the back straight, LOCHLAN took the front with HAZARDOUS pressing first over as the second bend approached.

Near the third bend, P A PIPER launched a move from deep in the field, going first over for the front.

P A PIPER would fade around the final bend, leaving HAZARDOUS and LOCHLAN HANOVER to battle for the win.

LOCHLAN gave HAZARDOUS a 2L lead turning for home and, despite trying his heart out, the finish came too soon - HAZARDOUS winning by that margin.

Overall, we're very happy with LOCHLAN's first run on a ½ mile track and believe once he puts it all together, he’ll go on to win a few.
