French police raided to rescue the kidnapped encryption tycoon’s father, four suspects arrested.

According to IBTimes, French police launched a raid over the weekend to rescue a man who had been kidnapped in Paris for two days. The kidnappers attempted to extort a ransom of 5 to 7 million euros from his encryption tycoon son. Reports indicate that one of the man's fingers was cut off, and had it not been for the timely rescue, he could have suffered more serious injuries. Police successfully rescued the hostage in Essonne, a suburb of Paris, and arrested four individuals. The victim had previously co-managed a Maltese encryption company with his son. The case is highly similar to the kidnapping incident involving the co-founder of Ledger in January, who also suffered harm and was demanded a large ransom.
