The UAE reiterates its opposition to expelling Palestinians

On February 19th, Jinshi Data reported that UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reiterated on the 19th that the UAE firmly opposes any attempt to expel Palestinians. According to the UAE News Agency, Mohamed emphasized during his meeting with visiting U.S. Secretary of State Rubio in the capital Abu Dhabi that the reconstruction of Gaza should be combined with the comprehensive and lasting path to peace, and reiterated that the 'two-state solution' is the fundamental approach to achieving regional stability. The two sides focused on discussing the situation in the Middle East, especially the latest situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, and the impact of the crisis in the Gaza Strip on regional peace, stability, and security. Mohamed stated that efforts must be made to prevent the escalation of conflict in order to avoid posing a greater threat to regional peace.
