Blockchain startups have raised about $13.7 billion in venture capital funding since 2024, a rise of 28% compared to last year.
BlockBeats News, on December 30th, The Block Pro financing data showed that VC invested about 13.7 billion US dollars in Cryptocurrency and Blockchain startups in 2024, which rose by 28% compared to the 10.7 billion US dollars in 2023. However, the funds are still far below the peak of 33.3 billion US dollars in 2022 and 29 billion US dollars in 2021. In 2024, early-stage financing dominated, with the Pre-Seed round setting a new record with over 1,180 transactions, an increase of 68% year-on-year, highlighting people's strong interest in emerging projects. Although the overall inflow has decreased, the total amount of seed round financing reached 3.4 billion US dollars, close to the 3.8 billion US dollars in 2021. Series A financing has exceeded 175 transactions, an increase of 59% year-on-year, raising 2.8 billion US dollars, an increase of 46% year-on-year. At the same time, mid-to-late-stage financing has decreased, paving the way for mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Overall, top Cryptocurrency venture capital firms hold a cautious and optimistic attitude towards 2025. Although the financing level is not expected to return to the highs of 2021-2022, industry insiders unanimously believe that early-stage companies with high product-market fit and user adoption are most likely to receive funding in the next year.
