According to NBC News, as of tonight, the Democratic Party has won two fiercely contested seats in the House of Representatives: the 2nd district of Alabama and the 22nd district of New York. Both districts were redrawn after the 2022 midterm elections, leading to an increasing level of support for the Democratic Party. In Alabama, the seat is vacant, and it is expected that former Justice Department official and Democrat Shomari Figures will win. In New York, Republican Congressman Brandon Williams faces a tough re-election battle and is expected to lose to Democrat John Mannion.
