FTSE Russell has delayed the inclusion of Korean bonds in the FTSE World Government Bond Index.

Jin10 Data reported on April 9 that FTSE Russell stated in a statement that it will include South Korean government bonds in the FTSE World Government Bond Index (WGBI) starting from April 2026, with the timing postponed from November 2025. FTSE Russell indicated that South Korean government bonds will be gradually incorporated into the index over a shorter period of eight months, completing the process by November 2026, noting that this decision was made based on feedback from stakeholders in the index.
