Jin10 Data reported on April 22 that at 1 a.m. today, Google AI released a brand new hybrid analog-digital quantum simulation method that enhances controllability while maintaining speed, overturning traditional quantum computing simulation methods. Significant breakthroughs have been achieved in studying quantum thermalization and critical phenomena. Traditional quantum simulation mainly faces two major challenges: poor flexibility, pure digital quantum simulation is very slow and often interfered with by noise; fast speed but lack of control, where the speed increases but cannot accurately control the interactions between all particles. Google's hybrid simulation method takes advantage of both approaches, ensuring simulation speed while enhancing controllability. Moreover, according to cross-entropy benchmark test data, Google's new method has already surpassed traditional simulations.
